YEWA SOUTH LG TO PARTNER WITH FG TECH INCUBATION CENTER @ OWODE

Yewa South Local Government is set to formally partner with the Federal Government Tech Incubation Center located at Owode, in collaboration with the Ogun State Technology Office.

The advocacy visit by the management of the Center to the Council Secretariat, Ilaro, was led by the State Coordinator, Mr. Gabriel Oguntayo. The team was received by the Executive Chairman, Barr. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, alongside the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr. Samuel Ige.

The management explained that the Center has been in existence for some years. However, the Local Government has not been fully involved in its activities, despite the fact that the land on which the Center is situated belongs to Yewa South LGA.

The purpose of the visit, they stated, was to seek the Council’s partnership in promoting the Center, regularizing the official documentation relating to the release of the land, and mobilizing youths across Yewa South and Ogun West to participate in the Center’s free training programmes.

In his response, Barr. Ogunsola welcomed the initiative and described it as a laudable Federal Government project. He assured the delegation of the Council’s full support in publicizing the Center’s activities and mobilizing youths to benefit from the free programmes in technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The Chairman further pledged to collaborate with all Local Government Chairmen in Ogun West to ensure that youths across the senatorial district have access to the opportunities provided by the Center.

Mr. Gabriel Oguntayo appreciated the Chairman and HOLGA for their warm reception and commitment. He noted that with Local Government involvement, the Center will achieve greater impact in youth empowerment and job creation.

Mr. Samuel Ige, HOLGA, assured the team that relevant departments will work with the Center to conclude documentation processes and drive community sensitization.

The Council reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that will enhance digital skills, innovation, and economic growth in Yewa South and beyond.
