HOLGA HOLDS MAIDEN MEETING WITH STAFF, PROMISES GOOD WORKING ENVIRONMENT , EXCELLENT WELFARE PACKAGE FOR YEWA SOUTH LG WORKERS

The newly appointed Head of Local Government Administration, HOLGA, of Yewa South Local Government,  Mr. Samuel Ige, today held his first official meeting with members of staff of the Council.

In his opening remarks, the HOLGA gave glory to Almighty God for the opportunity to serve. He expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, Governor of Ogun State; Barr. Oliver Olubukola, Chairman, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission*; and Barr. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, Executive Chairman, Yewa South Local Government* for the trust reposed in him.  

He also thanked the management team and the entire workforce for their warm reception and support.

The HOLGA acknowledged the presence of the pNULGE Chairman, Comrade Babatunde Osadare, describing it as a sign of unity and shared commitment to the development of Yewa South Local Government.

Addressing the staff, the HOLGA emphasized that loyalty, discipline, integrity, accountability, commitment, and proper dressing are the pillars of an efficient public service. He charged all officers to remain dedicated to their duties and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

The HOLGA further assured staff of his commitment to their welfare.  

“I promise to provide a conducive and good working environment, and I will prioritize workers’ welfare. Together we will build a local government we can all be proud of,” he stated.  

He also directed that all members of staff must wear their official identity cards visibly on their chests while on duty for proper identification and accountability.  

In addition, he announced that regular capacity-building training workshops will be organized through the Local Government Service Commission* to enhance staff development and improve service delivery.

The Director of General Services and Administration, DGSA, Mr Fatai Adeniyi reinforced the HOLGA’s directives on the use of identity cards and adherence to the approved dress code. He noted that failure to comply will attract disciplinary measures and urged all staff to maintain discipline and professionalism at all times.

Responding on behalf of the workforce, the NULGE Chairman, Comrade Babatunde Osadare, appreciated management for the interactive meeting and for clearly communicating the administration’s expectations. He assured the HOLGA of the union’s full cooperation and pledged that staff would abide by all rules and directives in the interest of Yewa South Local Government.

The meeting ended with renewed optimism as staff expressed readiness to work with the HOLGA to promote excellence, accountability, discipline, and efficient service delivery in Yewa South local Government
