The 2026 Children Anniversary and Thanksgiving Service of God Is Able Covenant Mission Inc. was celebrated in a grand and spiritually uplifting atmosphere at the church's Mango Camp, Mango Idi-Igba, as children showcased their God-given talents and reaffirmed their commitment to Christian values.
The colourful celebration attracted members, guests and well-wishers, while various gifts presented by the children added beauty and significance to the memorable occasion.
The congregation was treated to an inspiring array of presentations, including soul-lifting praise and worship, Bible readings, special songs, memory verse recitations, a short drama, news casting, choreography, and a traditional Bolojo dance creatively blended with Christian music.
The thanksgiving session was conducted in a joyful and colourful manner, culminating in fervent prayers offered by the General Overseer of God Is Able Covenant Mission Inc., Apostle P. O. Adeniji, who committed the children and the entire church into God's hands.
Welcoming worshippers and invited guests to the thanksgiving service, the Children's Coordinator, Sister Funmilola Olakitan, expressed profound gratitude to Almighty God for preserving and sustaining the lives of the children despite the prevailing security challenges, including insecurity and kidnapping affecting many parts of the country.
She described God's faithfulness as the foundation of the ministry's continued growth and success.
Sister Olakitan also appreciated the General Overseer, Apostle P. O. Adeniji, for his unwavering prayers, fatherly guidance and consistent support for the children and the church.
She further commended the collective efforts of the Excellent Men Fellowship, Able Women, Covenant Women and the Glorious Youths for their immense contributions toward the successful hosting of the 2026 Children Anniversary.
She equally thanked fellow coordinators and teachers for their dedication and commitment during the rigorous rehearsal sessions that prepared the children for the celebration.
Delivering the anniversary sermon on behalf of the children, Brother Badru Ayobami spoke on the theme, "Glorious Stars," drawing his message from 1 Corinthians 15:41. He reminded parents that their actions, words and lifestyle have a lasting impact on the destiny of their children, urging them to live responsibly and raise their children in the fear of God.
Citing 2 Samuel 21:1–6, Brother Ayobami referenced the household of King Saul to illustrate how the wrong deeds of parents can negatively affect innocent children.
He also cautioned parents against placing curses on their children under any circumstance, stressing that careless words can hinder the fulfilment of God's purpose in their lives.
Addressing fellow children, he urged them to remain obedient to God, their parents and spiritual leaders, emphasizing that they also bear responsibility for protecting their God-given destiny.
Referring to biblical examples such as Samson, Hophni and Phinehas, he warned that disobedience and sinful living could destroy the glorious future God has prepared for them, while encouraging every child to live a life of holiness, discipline and faithfulness.
The spiritually enriching celebration also coincided with the birthday thanksgiving of Sister Damilola Olatuji, whose special day was marked with the cutting of a birthday cake amidst joyful cheers from the congregation.
The anniversary ended on a note of gratitude, renewed faith and prayers, leaving worshippers inspired by the children's outstanding performances and the enduring message that every child is a glorious star destined to shine for God's glory.
