HONOURING THE FAITHFUL PILLARS : GOSACOM DEDICATES SPECIAL SERVICE TO EXCELLENT MEN ON 2026 FATHER'S DAY

  By Olopade Sakiru

God Is Able Covenant Mission Inc. (GOSACOM), Ita Oshin, Abeokuta, joined millions of believers worldwide in a glorious celebration of the 2026 International Father’s Day Anniversary.

The church dedicated its Sunday service to honour the Excellent Men of the Church, recognising their tireless contributions, leadership, and sacrificial service towards the growth and development of God’s kingdom.
In a powerful and educative sermon titled “Who is a Father?”, the General Overseer, Apostle P.O. Adeniji, expounded on the divine mandate and sacred responsibilities of fatherhood.

He emphasised that true fatherhood goes far beyond biological reproduction or mere age, but is a holy calling from God.
Right from the beginning, fathers have been the burden bearers of their homes and society, reflecting the heart of our Heavenly Father.

Apostle Adeniji declared that real fathers must embody the six-letter acronym of FATHER:
Foundation, Faithfulness, and bearers of Fruits (Malachi 2:16).
Ancestor — the replica of God in the home (Genesis 2:15-18).
Teachers, Tailors, and Tutors of their households (Genesis 18:19).
Head, House, and Honour.
Encouragers and Entrepreneurs in the things of God and family (1 Peter 5:1-4).
Reason faculty, Retentive memory, and Rallying point of the family (Psalm 127:1-5).
He stressed that fathers are accommodators who hold the family fabric together in all ramifications (Joshua 24:15, 1 Peter 3:7). The man of God made it clear that any father who fails to exhibit these Godly qualities falls short of the divine standard of true fatherhood.

He further noted that modern ideologies promoting extreme gender equality — such as “what a man can do, a woman can do better” — do not align with God’s ordained order for the family as established in Scripture.
The youth fellowship of the church reinforced the message through a powerful playlet that dramatised the struggles and sacrifices of real fathers in raising self-reliant children through quality education and Godly upbringing.

The church choir also delivered a stirring ministration dedicated to the fathers, affectionately referring to them as MIRRORS — reflections of God’s love, strength, and guidance in the home.

In a service filled with joy, gratitude, and the manifest presence of God, the women and youths joyfully entertained the men and showered them with love.
In appreciation to the Almighty God for His faithfulness and sustainability, the men took to the dancing floor with thanksgiving seeds. Their thanksgiving session was electrifying as they danced joyfully to the rhythm of the choir.
The General Overseer soaked all the men in powerful prayers as they stepped into another season of life and greater impact.

Entertainment with sumptuous food and drinks was provided by the church, together with the women and youths, in honour of the fathers.

Speaking at the well-attended celebration, the President of the Excellent Men’s Fellowship, Bro. Olopade Sakiru, expressed profound gratitude to God for His sustainability and faithfulness to the entire men.
“Today, as we celebrate Father’s Day, we honour and appreciate all fathers and father figures for their love, sacrifices, guidance, and unwavering commitment to their families and society. Fathers play a vital role in nurturing, protecting, and shaping the future of their children through their hard work, wisdom, and dedication. On this special occasion, we thank them for their countless contributions and pray for God’s strength, good health, and blessings upon them. Happy Father’s Day to all our wonderful fathers."

"We give all glory to the Most High God, for He is worthy of all praise. We thank Him for counting us worthy to be part of the men who are celebrating this 2026 International Father’s Day in the house of the Lord. We are deeply grateful to the church authority, most especially our father in the Lord and General Overseer, Apostle P.O. Adeniji, for this wonderful gesture of love and honour."

"This is truly unexpected. The church has taken us by pleasant surprise with this great honour shown to the men. In response, I want to assure our leaders and the entire church that the men of GOSACOM will be more committed, more dedicated, and more available for the things of the Lord. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 16:13, ‘Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.’ We receive grace to stand firm and be strong in our service to God and His church."

"We also appreciate the women and the youths for their beautiful role in making this special service a memorable one. Indeed, Psalm 133:1 declares, ‘Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!’ Your love and support remind us that we are one family in Christ, labouring together for the advancement of His kingdom.
The celebration underscored the biblical mandate for men to rise as spiritual leaders, providers, and pillars in their homes and in the church, even as the entire GOSACOM family united in thanksgiving to God, who makes all things possible.
