EWEKORO LG STAFF BEGIN 2026 WITH INTERDENOMINATIONAL PRAYER, REAFFIRM COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENT SERVICE DELIVERY

The staff of Ewekoro Local Government on Monday, 5th January 2026, began the new year with an interdenominational prayer session aimed at committing the journey of 2026 into the able hands of God.
The prayer session, organized by the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ewekoro Branch, held at the Local Government Secretariat, Itori, attracted management, political functionaries and staff members across departments.
The session was jointly ministered by Pastor Peter Kolade and Alfa Wahab Sulaimon, who charged members of staff to remain grateful to God for His protection in the past year and the grace to cross over into 2026. 
They further encouraged staff to continue doing good, loving one another and working together in unity and harmony.
Special prayers were offered for the Executive Chairman, political office holders, Head of Local Government Administration, Directors and Heads of Departments, the entire workforce, as well as Ewekoro Local Government, Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
Addressing the visibly elated staff, the Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, thanked God for the successes recorded in the past year and commended staff for their steadfastness and dedication, which he noted contributed immensely to the achievements of the council.

He urged staff not to rest on their oars but to put in more efforts in the new year.

Speaking on the maiden edition of NULGELIGANZA: OJUDE ESKAY – Season 1, the Chairman reminded staff of his promise to reward outstanding departments with cash gifts.

“I don’t make promises that I won’t fulfill. Soonest, the cash gifts announced during the End-of-Year Party tagged NULGELIGANZA: OJUDE ESKAY Season 1 will be disbursed,” he assured.
He further charged departments to begin preparations for the 2026 edition, describing it as one that would be keenly contested and highly competitive, while also assuring staff of more welfare packages in the year ahead.
Earlier, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs. Ogunyewo Oluwakemi Mutiat, appreciated staff for their diligence and hard work which culminated in Ewekoro Local Government emerging as the best among the 20 Local Governments in Ogun State.

According to her, “There is nothing stopping us from winning the award back-to-back. With the solid support of our Chairman, we are good to go again.”

Mrs. Ogunyewo reminded staff that there would be no more palliative holiday and therefore urged them to demonstrate commitment through regularity, punctuality and cooperation across all departments. 

She also charged departments to commence preparations for NULGELIGANZA: OJUDE ESKAY Season 2, noting that it would be highly competitive.
Delivering the message of the State President of NULGE, Comrade Adebayo Adefesobi (Oluomo)the Deputy President, NULGE Ogun State, Comrade Akiode Fatai, appreciated staff for their dedication and urged them to strictly adhere to civil service rules and regulations while working assiduously.

He also charged staff to prepare for the implementation of Local Government autonomy, which he expressed optimism would come into effect in 2026.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Chairman of NULGE, Ewekoro Local Government Branch, Comrade Abdulsalam Ibrahim, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Chairman and the management team for their continued support for the Union, while appreciating staff for their unflinching support and understanding in the past year.
