The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), in conjunction with the management of Ewekoro Local Government, has announced its 2025 end-of-year party, tagged “NULGELIGANZA @ OJUDE ESKAY SEASON 1.” The much-anticipated celebration is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 18th December, 2025, at the Local Government Secretariat, Itori, by 11:00am.
The event promises to be a colourful and memorable gathering, bringing together local government workers, political office holders, traditional rulers and other stakeholders within and beyond Ewekoro Local Government, as staff wind down activities for the Christmas and New Year festivities.
Gracing the occasion as the Royal Father of the Day is His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Abdul-Fatai Akorede Akamo, the Olu of Itori Land, while the Mother of the Day is Engr. Ogunbona Olanike Olawunmi, FNSE, the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Local Government Service Commission.
The Chief Host of the event is the Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, with Mrs. Ogunyewo Oluwakemi Mutiat as Host, and Comrade Ibrahim Abdulsalam as Co-Host, reflecting the cordial relationship between the council’s leadership and the workforce.
Speaking on preparations, the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Comrade Akeem Tunde Agbeniga, disclosed that preparations are in top gear. He stated that all hands are on deck to ensure a smooth, well-coordinated and classic end-of-year party worthy of the Local Government and its hardworking staff.
Comrade Agbeniga further assured that adequate arrangements have been made regarding logistics, security and overall coordination to ensure a seamless and hitch-free celebration at the Local Government Secretariat, Itori.
In a press release issued and signed by the Council's Director Of Information, Mr.Olopade Sakiru, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, described the forthcoming 2025 End-Of-Year party as a deliberate effort by his administration to motivate staff and recognize their immense contributions to the success recorded so far.
According to him, the dedication, resilience and commitment of workers remain the backbone of effective governance at the grassroots level, stressing that the celebration is a token of appreciation to encourage them to do even more in the coming year.
The Chairman noted that it is important to create moments of relaxation for workers, adding that “work without play makes Jack a dull boy.” He emphasized that such gatherings promote unity, boost morale and provide an avenue for staff to unwind after a demanding year of service delivery.
In his own reaction, the Chairman of NULGE, Ewekoro Local Government branch, Comrade Abdulsalam Ibrahim, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, and the entire management team for their understanding and support, despite prevailing financial challenges.
He noted that the decision to host the end-of-year party will go a long way in motivating staff and encouraging them to remain committed to their duties. He also recalled the Chairman’s promise of a “jumbo and juicy” Christmas and New Year bonus, describing him as a workers-friendly leader.
As anticipation continues to build, workers and political functionaries are already looking forward to the D-Day, as the festive euphoria of Christmas and the New Year gradually fills the air across Ewekoro Local Government.
