…As Jubilation Rocks Council Secretariat, NULGE, Workers Applaud Welfare-Driven Leadership

The Executive Chairman of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to workers’ welfare with the payment of End-of-Year bonuses to staff of the Local Government, fulfilling a promise earlier made by his administration.

The gesture has ignited widespread excitement and joy across the council secretariat, as workers openly commended the Chairman for his consistency, compassion, and people-centred leadership style.

The bonus payment comes barely a week after the historic 2025 End-of-Year celebration, tagged “NULGELIGANZA @ OJUDE ESKAY – Season 1,” where Hon. Adesina announced cash rewards to various departments in recognition of their dedication, diligence, and outstanding performance.

Speaking on the development, the Executive Chairman reiterated his administration’s resolve to continually motivate staff, describing them as the backbone of effective governance at the grassroots.
“We will keep encouraging and motivating our staff because they are the engine room of this administration,” he said.

“This is not the first time we are paying End-of-Year bonuses to our workers. We started this culture from the inception of our administration.”

Hon. Adesina further urged workers to reciprocate the goodwill by remaining diligent, committed, and service-driven, stressing that their cooperation remains crucial to the overall development and progress of Ewekoro Local Government.

Reacting to the development, the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ewekoro Local Government Branch, Comrade Abdulsalam Ibrahim, expressed profound gratitude to the Executive Chairman and the entire management team for consistently prioritising workers’ welfare.
According to him, staff of the council have continued to enjoy the magnanimity of the Adesina-led administration, describing Ewekoro Local Government as a pacesetter in staff motivation.

“Our Chairman has proved once again that Ewekoro Local Government is a pace-setter by being the first to pay End-of-Year bonuses to staff. Just last week, Hon. Adesina announced cash rewards for departments. Honestly, there is no better way to motivate workers than this,” he stated.

Comrade Abdulsalam assured the Chairman of the union’s unwavering support, pledging that workers would continue to deliver quality service and support the administration to realise its vision of taking Ewekoro Local Government to enviable heights.

Many workers, who spoke in separate interviews, described the payment of the End-of-Year bonus as a rare and thoughtful gesture that has further strengthened their sense of belonging and boosted morale within the system.
They noted that the intervention came at a critical time, as families prepare for the festive season, easing financial pressures and restoring confidence in grassroots leadership.

Several staff members, visibly elated, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, describing him as a compassionate and responsive leader who understands the realities facing workers. They said the bonus has brought joy, relief, and renewed hope amid prevailing economic challenges, adding that the Chairman has distinguished himself as a leader who keeps his word.

The workers collectively pledged their continued loyalty and unwavering support to the Adesina-led administration, assuring him of improved productivity, dedication, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

They emphasized that the welfare-driven approach of the current leadership has inspired them to give their best in service, while working together to ensure sustainable development and a brighter future for Ewekoro Local Government.
