As Yewa South Local Government clocks one year under the leadership of its Executive Chairman, Barr. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, the council has rolled out a scorecard that reflects a period of visible achievements, developmental strides and renewed hope for residents across the local government area.

Barr. Ogunsola, who assumed office on November 18, 2024, has been widely commended for the remarkable improvements recorded within the first 12 months of his administration, particularly in the health and education sectors, as well as general infrastructural uplift that has given Yewa South a refreshing new look.
The health sector, long in need of revitalisation, witnessed one of the most significant transformations under his watch. The chairman spearheaded the renovation of several health centres across the local government, ensuring that facilities are safer, cleaner and more functional for both healthcare workers and patients.
To further enhance the quality of service delivery, the Ogunsola administration equipped multiple primary healthcare centres with essential medical items such as ward screens, baby cots, examination couches, bedside lockers, drip hangers, and instrument trolleys. The Almajiri Health Centre and other community facilities also benefitted from critical upgrades aimed at strengthening grassroots healthcare.
In the education sector, the council embarked on the construction and renovation of blocks of classrooms in selected primary   schools. These projects are part of the chairman’s mission to provide conducive learning environments for schoolchildren, reduce overcrowding and support the overall development of the younger generation in Yewa South.
Residents have also noted the general infrastructural facelift across communities, as the local government now wears a new and improved outlook. Beautification efforts, structural upgrades and strategic community interventions have collectively contributed to the positive transformation being experienced across towns and villages.
Speaking on the one-year milestone, Barr. Ogunsola reaffirmed his commitment to a people-centred administration, pledging to intensify efforts towards sustainable development, expanded economic opportunities, and improved social services for all residents of Yewa South Local Government.
With an impressive performance scorecard in just one year, Barr. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola’s leadership continues to draw commendation as Yewa South steps confidently into another year of growth, service and community-driven governance.
