In a historic stride towards grassroots development, the Executive Chairman Of Ewekoro Local Government, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa, has commissioned a series of transformative projects designed to uplift communities and improve the standard of living of the residents of the council area.
The newly commissioned projects cut across the key sectors such as infrastructure, education, water supply, roads and electrification.
Speaking, during the commissioning of a block of 2 Classrooms with office and store at Methodist Primary School at Abese, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa reaffirmed his administration's resolve to ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every ward and community within Ewekoro Local Government , saying that it is not only commissioning of projects but also celebrating a visionary leadership, purposeful governance, dedication and commitment of the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON , for his giant strides on grassroots development.
Describing the project as a significant milestone achievement in the council's educational journey.
" This new project will add to our contributions to education sector since our first tenure in office and affirm our commitment to deliver dividends of democracy which we promised to uphold during our electioneering campaign for second term."
According to the council helmsman, the block of two classrooms reconstructed is not just an academic infrastructure but facility that will provide a conducive learning environment for the pupils, enhance their academic performance and also cater for convenience of the teachers who deserve a better working environment to impact knowledge to the pupils.
" Dear people of Abese, and the Methodist Primary School Management, i must congratulate you on this project, as i promise to intensify more efforts on projects delivery. I urge you to see this project as our collective heritage and make proper use of it.
In his message at the event, the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, thanked the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, who has been given support to the Chairmen in all the twenty Local Governments for them to be able to perform well.
" Our own Chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru, has been doing creditably well . I want to congratulate the people of Ewekoro Local Government that we have not made mistake in re-electing Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa for the second term.
" Since giving you the mandate to continue as the Executive Chairman, you have been doing so well with impactful projects. I must thank you."
" It is also important to say that, it is one thing to provide projects, but it is another thing for the people in charge of the projects to ensure adequate maintenance of these projects. I hope by the time we come here in the next two years, the project won't be in a dilapidated form."
In his remarks at the commissioning of the project, the Deputy Chief Whip Of the National Assembly, House Of Representatives, Rt.Hon. Ibrahim Isiaka , MP- FRN, who was represented by Mr. Jide Omosebi extended his warmest congratulations on the successful commissioning of transformative projects within Ewekoro Local Government.
" This significant milestone is a testament to the visionary leadership, steadfast dedication and collaborative spirit demonstrated by my highly cerebral Council Chairman, Vice Chairman, the entire council cabinet as well as the numerous traditional and community leaders who have consistently stood as pillars of progress."
" The commissioning of these projects stands as a beacon of development, innovation and improved quality of life for our people. The impact of these initiatives will be felt across education, infrastructure, economic opportunity and communal well-being, reinforcing the confidence of our citizens in governance that is responsive, transparent, and forward-looking."
Thereafter, the commissioning train moved to Mosan ward, for the commissioning of Modern Town Hall where the dignitaries were given a rousing welcome by the people of Mosan.
In his address, Hon.Adesina Sikiru Adisa, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun,CON, saying, " this success will not have been possible without fatherly support of the performing Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun,CON , I must use this avenue to appreciate him immensely for prioritizing the welfare of the people across the Local Governments, and his efforts to take the state to high pedestal . May God be with him ."
Re-emphasizing his assurance on delivering developmental projects that will improve the lots of our people and make Ewekoro Local Government the best among the comity of others in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
He solicited for the dedication and support of the Mosan people for his administration and to the Governor .
" Dear people of Mosan, as we commission another laudable project in this ward today, i implore you to see this project as a collective property that requires adequate maintenance and joint stewardship."
Traditional rulers , Community leaders , Political stakeholders and Residents who witnessed the events commended the Executive Chairman, Hon. Adesina Sikiru Adisa for his visionary leadership, describing the projects as timely intervention that will have lasting impact on the life of the people of the council area.
Among the commissioned projects are :
*Reconstruction of block of two classrooms with office and store @Methodist Primary School, Abese.
*Modern Town Halls @ Mosan Ward and Asa-Yobo Ward.
*Construction Of Modern Toilets and Borehole facilities at the council major markets
*Rehabilitation and Grading of Roads within 10wards of the council area.
*Provision of 33KV/300KVA Transformers @ Eruku, Itori ward , Afowowa, Itori Ward, Wasimi, Wasimi Ward.
*Repair/Overhauling of Local Government Komatsu Grader.
With these accomplishments, Hon.Adesina Sikiru Adisa continues to demonstrate that purposeful leadership,anchored on accountability and service, remains the bedrock of progress in Ewekoro Local Government
The event had in attendance, distinguished personalities, government functionaries from the State and Local Government, party stalwarts, royal fathers, religious leaders, community leaders, market men and women, transport union leaders, APC members and many others.
