The Executive Chairman , Yewa South Local Government, Barr. Abraham Babatunde Ogunsola, has assented the government's appropriation bill for 2025.
The bill, enacted into law on the 22nd of may 2025 by the 9th Legislative Council of the Local Government, was sponsored by Hon. Yisa Asorowo, majority leader of the house.
Presenting the bill to the Chairman, the Deputy Leader of the house, Hon. Adeleye Jonathan, assured the Management of their unflinching support and cooperation through out their tenure.
He said, ‘"we the Legislators will work hand in hand with the Executive in other to move the Local Government forward."
The appropriation bill running to the sum of Nine billion one hundred and fifty million six hundred and sixty four thousand four hundred and five naira four kobo(9,954,664,405.04k) was co-sponsored by Hon. Jomoh Akindele, the Chief Whip, Hon. Kafayat Adeyinka, Hon. Shakirullai Abiola and Hon. Jimoh Ogunsola.
As enacted by the Legislative council, the budget size for year 2025 shall be 9,954,664,405.04. To achieve this, the recurrent expenditure shall be 8,928,084,405.04 and the capital expenditure shall be 1,026,580,000.00.
Receiving the bill, the Executive Chairman, promised to put all hands on deck to achieve the set goals for the year
He assured the Legislators that his administration will take the Local Government to the promise land, assuring them that the dividend of democracy will get to the nooks and crannies of Yewa South Local Government.
Present at the program are: the Vice Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Sheriff Bankole, the Secretary to the Local Government, Com. Abdul jabar Ayelaagbe, all other Legislators representing various wards in the Local Government and the Head Of Local Government Administration, Mr. Oluwole Fateru.
