.....Hon Adesina describes the retiree as one of the dedicated HOLGAs that have worked in Ewekoro Local Government.

" Better is the beginning thereof, and the patient in the spirit is better than the proud in spirit."--- This quotation aptly describe the three decades and five years of hardwork, dedication, achievements, challenges, growth and remarkable moments of MRS SOLOMON ELIZABETH as a public servant in the Ogun State Local Government Service.
Speaking at the colourful event, held at the Local Government Conference Room, the Executive Chairman, Ewekoro Local Government, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa, lauded the retiree for her dedicated service to the Ogun Local Government.

" Mrs Solomon Elizabeth is one of the dedicated HOLGAs who have passed through Ewekoro Local Government."
"Her short stay and immense contributions to the progress and development of this Local Government is an indelible ink which can not be erased in the history of this council."

" Her cooperation, team work and a resilience encouraged smooth and seamless administrative supports for the Local Government and that can not go unnoticed, "---the Chairman added.

While counseling the celebrant, the Council helmsman, implored Mrs Solomon Elizabeth to seize the retirement period to get closer to God , her family and community.

" The retirement period is a time to positively impact the society as a senior citizen, while your health should also be prioritized in order to live a long life. I pray Almighty God to bless you with a sound health to enjoy your new facet of life ,"---the Chairman concluded.

In his own remarks, the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee , saddled with the responsibility of the retirement programme, Mr. Wole Adeosun, congratulated Mrs Solomon Elizabeth on the statutory retirement from the active service from the Ogun State Local Government.

Mr Adeosun, stated that the journey had been a long one, having started as Environmental Health Officer in training to the esteemed post of Head Of Local Government Administration.

The astute administrator, therefore, advised the retiree not to engage in any investment but rather than to eat and rest well.

" This is not the time to go and invest, the age is not there but use the little the government will give you, by reason of your gratuity and pension to keep you body and soul together, not for investment nor training of grandchildren,"--- he emphasised.

In their separate goodwill messages, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Wale Aladeselu, the Chairman, Nigeria Union Of Local Government Employees , Ewekoro Local Government branch,Comrade Abdulsalam Ibrahim, the Director Of Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation, Sanitarian Ayoade Rachael, all spoke glowingly about the retiree's exceptional traits whom they are agreed passed in all areas of assessment.
Responding, the celebrant, Mrs Solomon Elizabeth, appreciated the dignitaries at the event for their love for her with the prayer that good and joyous things will never cease in their lives.

In his vote of thanks, the husband of the retiree, a retired Health Educator in the Ogun State Local Government Service, Mr. Solomon Olufemi Daniel , expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people who graced the occasion.

He thanked the Executive Chairman, Hon Adesina Sikiru Adisa for creating an enabling environment for staff to discharge their duties, while imploring him to continue to put the welfare of workers in the front burner.

As part of the programme was a prayer session for the celebrant in both Christian and Muslim way.
While the programme, equally, witnessed the handing Over  of the council assignment to  Mr. Anigboro Wole Daniel as the acting Head Of Local Government Administration and was subsequently introduced to the Executive Chairman.
The retirement/birthday ceremony will hold on Friday, 2nd of May, 2025 at the H3 Event Center, Oke-Mosan , Abeokuta.
