DIALLO'S THREE MOMENTS OF MAGIC SAVE RED DEVILS THE BLUSHES AS MAN UNITED BEATS SOUTHAMPTON 3--1 @ OLD TRAFFORD

The Ivorian International, Amad Diallo's  sterling performance gave the Red Devils victory against relegation threatening Southampton at the theater of dream.

Diallo's late hat-trick was all Manchester United needed to secure the maximum three points at a night Ruben Amorim's men performed below par.

The encounter saw both teams, not inspiring but with the visitors, still having upper hand, as Manchester United lacked creativity at the middle of the pack.

Lesley Ugochukwu and Joe Aribo locked up the mid-field , leaving Kobbie Mainoo , Ugarte struggling to catch up with the pace.

Manchester United conceded from yet another set piece in the 43rd minute as Tyler Dibling flicked the ball on at the near post and deflected off Manuel Ugarte into the back of the net for the opening goal.

Manchester United came into the second half with more vigour but left it late , until 12 minutes hat-trick of Amad Diallo gave United a life line with a great come back of the night.

No doubt, the introduction of Joshua Zirkzee changed the colour of the game as he continued to pose problems for the Southampton.

The young lad is gradually warming himself back into the hearts of Red Devils fans after being jeered off after his substitution in the 33rd minute of United's previous home game but his performance against Arsenal in the FA Cup and against Southampton, the United fans are now singing different song.

With the victory against Southampton, Ruben Amorim tutored side is now 12 points off the top four, while their next game is against Brighton at Old Trafford.
