As Christians all over the world are in the euphoria of christmas season, the Executive Chairman Of Ewekoro Local Government Area Of Ogun State, Hon.Adesina Sikiru Adisa has felicitated christians in the council area and Nigeria at large, while charging them to be moderate in their celebration at this economic down turn period but rather spend the hard-earned money judiciously.
The Chairman gave the charge through the press release issued by the Council Director Of Information, Mr. Olopade Sakiru.
In his christmas message, Hon. Adesina enjoined christians to show love to their fellow beings and be ready to make sacrifice as exemplified by God in the redemption of the world, with the supreme sacrifice of His only begotten son for the sake of human race.
The Council boss, describing christmas as an awesome time of the year, stating that the underlying message, woven throughout the christmas story is "God and sinners reconciled", adding, "It's all about God's love and mercy, not His damnation."
He , therefore, called on Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for the healing of the nation and present administration at all tiers of governance in their efforts to salvage the country.
The Council helmsman, seized the opportunity to advise motorists and other road users to exercise patience and adhere strictly to all road rules and regulations , over speeding and reckless driving in their bid to make fast and brisk business during and after the christmas to avoid unnecessary accidents which are mostly common during festive period, saying," It's is only the living that celebrates."
While sending his wishes and prayers to them , a beautiful holiday,peaceful and prosperous new year in advance.
